Peter Sondergaard is Senior Vice President, Gartner Research. His focus is on developing market-leading advice; developing a global organization of more than 1,000 experts across IT, supply chain and marketing; and expanding the client base to more than 14,500 organizations across more than 80 countries. These initiatives have resulted in all-time-high levels of revenue for Gartner Research of more than $1.6 billion in 2014.

Prior to this position, Mr. Sondergaard was General Manager for Gartner Research EMEA, responsible for analysts, research and methodology in Europe. Before joining Gartner, Mr. Sondergaard was a Research Director at International Data Corp. in Europe, where he concentrated his efforts on IT advice and consulting projects for large European users and vendors. Mr. Sondergaard also worked for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), where he was responsible for the integration of PCs between hotels and the SAS IT organization. Mr. Sondergaard is a leading thought leader in the IT industry. He engages with senior business and government leaders across the globe and is frequently quoted in major publications, such as Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Economist, and in TV media, such as CNBC and the BBC.
